Birthing Expansionįollowing the completion of the new hospital, Dunham provided engineering services to fit-out the 4th floor and expand the birthing, post-partum, and nursery spaces. This highly sustainable project was designed to Green Guide for Health Care standards and is registered with the U.S. The project also included a 110‑seat cafeteria and servery space. The 130‑bed hospital includes 10 labor and delivery (LDR) rooms, 36 post‑partum rooms, a 36‑bed nursery with 12 Level II care bassinets, 5 ORs, 10‑bed PACU, 19‑bed patent care center, Emergency Care Center with 14 private rooms, stabilization rooms, observation rooms, behavioral health rooms, medical lab, imaging center, and pharmacy. The design of the central plant was a vital element of the project. Our work included master planning of the campus infrastructure, mindful of the need for future expansion, and long-term maintenance. Dunham provided mechanical and electrical engineering design for a new 225,000 SF hospital, which offers both inpatient and outpatient services. ![]() The architect for the project is Minneapolis-based Synergy Architecture Studio and the general contractor is Timco Construction Inc., which is headquartered in Plymouth, Minn.North Memorial and Fairview Health Services partnered to design and construct a new hospital that serves Maple Grove and the greater northwest metro area. Plans are for retail stores and offices to occupy the northern portion of the site. ![]() The specialty center will occupy 4.2 acres on the southern end of the 8.13-acre site. The Maple Grove Specialty Center is expected to be completed by August 2022. In addition to developing the specialty center, Davis will own the building and provide property management and leasing services to tenants. Davis noted that other potential tenants have expressed interest in this market.
